On 31st December 2024, biometric residence permits (BRP) or biometric resident cards (BRC) will expire. They are being replaced by eVisas, a digital (or online) record of an individual’s immigration status, and the conditions of their permission to enter or stay in the United Kingdom.
OUR SERVICE
With funding from the Home Office, the North East Law Centre can provide support to help people register for their eVisa, if they would otherwise be unable to do so.
If you are yet to register for your eVisa but have:

A smartphone, laptop or tablet
Your contact information and documents
You may be able to register for your eVisa by following the steps in NELC’s eVisa information pack that is linked below.
If you require additional support to register for your eVisa, please get in touch with us directly by completing our contact form.
Seasonal Closure: 24th December 2024 - 2nd January 2025
North East Law Centre will be closed from 4.30pm on 23rd December 2024 and will reopen at 9.30am on 2nd January 2025. You can submit online enquiry forms during this period that we will respond to in the New Year.
If you are still struggling to access your eVisa over this period - don't worry! You'll still be able to use your BRP to travel up until 31st March 2025 but it's important to transfer to an eVisa as soon as possible. Have a look at the resources below that may be useful.
