The Recovery Through Rights project is an exciting partnership project between the North East Law Centre and the Recovery College Collective (ReCoCo) Newcastle.
What is the Help Through Recovery project?
The Recovery Through Rights Project seeks to:
- develop a resource based within ReCoCo for legal advice, action, education and awareness raising, with a goal of service users taking on a peer support
- eliminate significant barriers facing service users and their rights in the mental health, welfare benefits and general health and social care systems
- test how legal and human rights based approaches could improve outcomes for people experiencing mental distress
